We were excited to be given the opportunity to be a part of the Gest Motocross two day meeting
at Ringmer on 28th -29th August!
Many of our customers race with Gest and the team there are doing a great job running club
level Motocross events locally and further afield. Through Tommy Jones father of Freestyle
sponsored rider and rising star Ned Jones we were put in contact with club chairman Jason
Thorpe who asked if we wanted to sponsor a class at their annual two day meeting. After some
discussion we decided rather than sponsor just one class we would put up Holeshot awards for
all of of the junior classes in the form of £40 in store gift vouchers. This went down well and our
Vouchers were handed out to riders who took the holeshot during race two on Sunday.
Back to young Ned Jones, he had an awesome weekend! Taking three wins on Saturday
followed by a 1st, 3rd and an 8th on Sunday following an unfortunate crash whislt lapping some
slower riders. This was easily enough however for him to take the overall win and 5 out of 6
holeshots over the weekend, that boy really can get off the line!
Several other riders were out there sporting the exclusive Freestyle graphics including Brandon
Love who was riding in adult group 1 on his new 2022 Husqvarna FC250. Brandon’s old bike is
currently for sale in our Mark Cross showroom so if anyone is looking for a well sorted and
looked after Husqvarna TC250 then get in touch!
We look forward to having more involvement with Gest in the near future and would like to both
congratulate the club on everything they are doing and thank them for the opportunity to be a
part of it.
With light now becoming an issue for evening ride outs we may look at doing an open day
during the weekend for our next event. Watch this space for details!
